Britain's Prince Charles has revealed his music tastes to TV presenters Ant and Dec in an intimate TV interview being aired tomorrow (20.05.06).
The British double act were invited to Highgrove to meet with the royal and his two sons Prince Harry and Prince William to mark the 30th anniversary of The Princes Trust.
During the frank conversation, Charles revealed he was a big fan of Leonard Cohen, the singer-songwriter renowned for his melancholy tunes. He also confessed to not understanding his youngest son's choice in music. William, 23, backed his father up by describing 21-year-old Harry's taste as 'pretty shocking'. The intimate chat will also give viewers a glimpse into life inside the palace. Harry shared that the trio like to watch US sitcom 'Friends' together and William admitted there is usually an argument over the remote control. The brothers also revealed that they enjoyed British TV talent contests such as 'Pop Idol' and 'X Factor'. Further revelations came when William admitted the pair were hardly at the cutting edge of fashion. Dec asked Charles: 'How important are William and Harry in keeping you in touch with what's relevant today and what's in fashion?' To which William replied: 'Do we look fashionable? Yes, right!' The interview will be shown on ITV1 tomorrow (20.05.06) as part of the celebration, which will include a pop concert at the Tower Of London featuring Pink, Lionel Richie, Will Young and Ozzy Osbourne.Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
