Charles snubbed by museum
May 2, 2006, 17:24 GMT
Britain's Prince Charles has been snubbed by a Chinese waxworks museum.
The new Shanghai Madame Tussauds Museum has decided to cut the royal - who recently caused outrage by referring to Chinese officials as 'appalling old waxworks' - from their display, although models of his ex-wife Princess Diana and his son Prince William both feature.
More than 70 figures went on show, including David and Victoria Beckham and Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Charles' controversial comments were revealed after copies of his personal journals were sold to Britain's Mail On Sunday newspaper by an ex-employee. In the diary the prince wrote of the 'ridiculous rigmarole' of meeting the then Chinese President Jiang Zemin, and his surprise at not being seated in first class during his trip.
