Prince Charles's ski race
Apr 12, 2006, 16:53 GMT
Britain's Prince Charles has been racing society girl Tara Palmer Tompkinson on the slopes of posh Swiss ski resort, Klosters.
The 32-year-old socialite and her family joined the Prince of Wales on a skiing holiday last week.
Tara - who has been friends with the heir to the British throne for several years - has revealed that despite being nearly 60, the prince's skills on the slopes were still as impressive as ever. She is quoted by Britain's Closer magazine as saying: 'He is so fast, it was a real struggle to keep up with him.' Tara also said she wished Charles's sons, who are both enrolled in officer training at Sandhurst Military Academy, had been on the ski trip. She said: 'It's a shame Princes William and Harry weren't with us but they couldn't get away from Sandhurst.' Tara added she hopes to holiday with the royal family even more in the future once her new four-bedroom chalet at Klosters is completed next year.Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
