Jordan's Queen Rania Al-Abdullah visited newborn babies at a Cape Town hospital yesterday (03.04.06).
The stunning royal - who is touring South Africa in her role as a UN Children's Fund (Unicef) global leader for children - spent time looking around the labour and neonatal wards at the Tygerberg Hospital.
Head of obstetrics Gerhardt Theron is quoted on the IOL.co.za website as saying: 'It was really pleasant. She's well informed and asks good questions, and she's easy-going and very elegant.'
Provincial health minister Pierre Uys said the mother-of-four's visit was an important step.
