Morrissey slams Prince Charles
Mar 31, 2006, 16:11 GMT
Outspoken pop icon Morrissey has hit out at Britain's Prince Charles - insisting he would prefer to see a comedian on the throne.
The Prince of Wales is set to succeed his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, to the British throne when she dies.
But the former 'The Smiths' singer is leading a campaign to replace him with veteran British funnyman Ronnie Corbett. Morrissey says, 'The very idea of Charles being king is laughable. You might as well say Ronnie Corbett will be king one day. I think that would give people more pleasure.'Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
