Britain's Zara Phillips gave rugby star boyfriend Mike Tindall an affectionate hug yesterday (16.03.06) as they joined the fun on the third day of the Cheltenham Festival.
Queen Elizabeth's grand-daughter made her first appearance at the world-famous race, and sipped champagne in the royal box with boyfriend Mike.
The 24-year-old led the fashion stakes in a smart brown trilby hat and long denim coat. Mike, 27, wore a black suit with a red tie. The couple, who have been dating since they met during the World Cup in Australia in 2003, were joined in the royal box by Zara's brother Peter Phillips, 28, and his girlfriend Autumn Kelly. More than 75,000 people are expected to watch the Gold Cup today (17.03.06) as the festival reaches its climax. All eyes will be on the Duchess of Cornwall and husband Prince Charles as they arrive as guests of honour. British bookmakers have offered odds against the couple sharing a kiss at the event. According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, bookmakers are offering 10-1 odds if the Prince kisses his wife on the cheek. If the duchess kisses Charles on the lips customers will get 25-1. And odds of 33-1 are being offered if the prince kisses Camilla and lifts her off her feet. The duchess will present the trophy to the Gold Cup winning jockey. Handing the task of presenting the Gold Cup to Camilla so soon after she married the prince is a significant move and will cement her place in the royal family.Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
