Kate and Chelsy not invited to Queen's 80th birthday party

British Prince's William and Harry are reportedly furious that their girlfriends are not invited to their grandmother Queen Elizabeth's 80th birthday party.

Prince Charles has organised a private lunch for the queen's closest family on April 21, but neither William's long-term love, Kate Middleton of Harry's girlfriend, Chelsy Davy have been invited.

A royal source is quoted in Britain's Sunday Mirror newspaper as saying: 'Both the boys are upset with their father and had expected their girlfriends to be there.

Harry is absolutely devastated that Chelsy won't be there because they don't get to spend much time together. And it is a real snub for Kate.

'She has become very much a part of the Royal Family's set lately. But, although they are upset, neither of the boys would miss the party. They will both be there for their gran.'

The insider added: 'Kate is the one for Wills. But she's still not invited to the party.

'And the palace does not feel that Chelsy is ready to attend such a high-profile family engagement.'

Other royal partners - including Prince Edward's wife Sophie - have been invited to the bash.

The party will be held at Kew Palace in South West London.

It will take place two days after the queen hosts a lavish lunch and reception at Buckingham Palace for people born on the same day as her.

A spokesperson for the royals has confirmed the princes' girlfriends would not be attending the dinner, to which more than 20 people are invited.

The spokesperson said: 'The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall are hosting a dinner for members of the royal family only.'
