Charles and Camilla head to Bath
Jan 20, 2006, 14:56 GMT
Britain's Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall will make their first joint visit to Bath next month.
The couple - who married last April - will visit the city on Friday February 3.
Although both have property in the area, it will be the first official visit Charles and Camilla have paid to the city for years. They will be among the first people to see a new exhibition at the Holburne Museum. The Prince and Duchess have loaned the Great Pulteney Street museum a painting from the Prince of Wales' collection. It is a picture of his Gloucestershire home, Highgrove House, painted by Felix Kelly in the mid-1980s. Alexander Sturgis, director of the museum, said: 'We are absolutely thrilled that the Prince of Wales has not only agreed to lend an important painting to our exhibition, but also that he and the Duchess of Cornwall will be opening the show.'Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
