Prince Harry's girlfriend Chelsy Davy frets over long-distance relationship
Jan 3, 2006, 20:02 GMT
Prince Harry's girlfriend Chelsy Davy has told friends she fears their long-distance relationship may be too hard to keep together.
The South African beauty says she cannot see a future for their love while she lives in Zimbabwe and studies at university in South Africa and the prince embarks on his Army career.
Chelsy allegedly said: "I love him like mad and everything is so good between us - but I don't know how long we can keep being so far apart."
The beautiful blonde is also concerned that Harry and the British royal family will be put off by revelations concerning her father Charles, a multi-millionaire businessman, who has been linked with Zimbabwean despot Robert Mugabe.
The 20-year-old reportedly told friends: "Harry has been through so much already. I just don't want to be the cause of more trouble for him."
Despite Chelsy's fears that their relationship won't last, the couple spent New Year's Eve together on Bazaruto Island, off Mozambique.
Harry joined his girlfriend and her family at the resort for the second year in a year in a roq - flying in on her father's private jet.
After a dinner with Chelsy's parents, the pair spent the night partying with friends in the hotel bar.
A source told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "Harry was determined to drink the bar dry but they still only had eyes for each other and were hugging and kissing for most of the night."
