Prince Charles and Camilla visit Northern Ireland
Dec 13, 2005, 18:41 GMT
Britain's Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, have enjoyed a short visit to Northern Ireland.
The pair visited Belfast's city hall, watched youngsters perform a festive play and toured an international Christmas market, where Camilla sampled
some ginger biscuits.
Johnny Olofsson, who helps run the stand, is quoted on the Ireland Online website as saying: "Camilla tried some of our biscuits and I think she liked them.
"She said if she had more time she would have bought some."
The pair were met by Lord Mayor Wallace Browne when they arrived.
He is quoted on Britain's BBC website as saying: "It was a very relaxed visit. Prince Charles realises City Hall will be celebrating its centenary next year and he's very interested in architecture.
"It was also marvellous that they found time to visit the market."
The royal couple also visited the Belfast Harbour Office to look at work done by the Prince's Trust.
