Prince Harry's drinking games
Dec 5, 2005, 13:21 GMT
Britain's Prince Harry reportedly dared the English rugby team to take him on in a drinking contest - and beat them.
The party-loving royal was allegedly out drinking with friends from Sandhurst Military Academy - where he is currently enrolled in officer training - when he challenged the sportsmen to the competition.
Harry's group had gone into London's swanky Mamalangi bar when the prince spotted some of the stars from the rugby side.
The 21-year-old asked the ace athletes - including star player Jonny Wilkinson - to join his group and then challenged them to an impromptu vodka drinking competition.
A source from the Mamalangi nightspot told Britain's The People newspaper: "There was only going to be one winner and that was Harry. He has not got his reputation for nothing."
The insider added: "He was on top form.
"After out drinking the team he went back on pints for the rest of the night."
Last month, Harry was named the country's most eligible bachelor. The young prince, who is currently dating South African beauty Chelsy Davy, topped a list compiled by UK society magazine Tatler.
However, Harry's older brother Prince William - once considered the biggest royal heartthrob - did not even make the 'Little Black Book' top ten.
It was revealed the red-haired prankster's famous sense of humour helped him land the top spot, with Tatler saying: "Harry is notoriously funny."
Prince Harry was joined in the top ten by Mick Jagger's son, James, Richard Branson's son, Sam, and 'You're Beautiful' singer James Blunt.
