Princess Anne to attend equine events tomorrow
Dec 1, 2005, 14:31 GMT
Britain's Princess Anne is to attend a number of equine events tomorrow (02.12.05).
The expert horsewoman will attend the Equine Welfare Guidelines Compendium launch at Royal Courts of Justice, where she will be greeted by representatives from the National Equine Welfare Council, the Home of Rest for Horses and the British Horseracing Board.
In the afternoon, the horse-loving royal will then attend a race meeting at Wincanton Racecourse, in Somerset.
Anne will meet trustees and beneficiaries of the Injured Jockeys Fund, of which she is patron and the princess will also view runners in the paddock and will watch the races.
The Princess Royal is famed for her horse-riding skills and was a member of the British Three-Day Eventing team at the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games.
Her daughter, Zara Phillips, has inherited her mother's love of horses and has admitted she would love to follow in her mother's footsteps and compete at the Olympics.
Anne's interest in horses has resulted in her becoming closely involved with several equine and veterinary charitable organisations, of which she is actively involved in fundraising.
