Britain's Prince Charles was reportedly furious after hearing a TV drama in which wife Camilla calls herself a slut will air at Christmas.
The heir to the British throne was said to be "apoplectic with rage" after being told 'Whatever Love Means' - which portrays Camilla as a raunchy seductress - will be screened on December 23rd.
According to a report in Britain's The People newspaper, the royal, who is played by Laurence Fox in the show, thumped his fist on a table and said: "When will these people leave my wife alone? Why do they treat her this way?"
The drama - which recreates the love affair which contributed to the marriage break-up of Charles and his first wife Diana - shows Camilla telling Charles: "I'm a slut."
The 70-minute programme also includes a scene where Camilla, played by actress Olivia Poulet, says: "You know I'm not a virgin."
She jokes: "That's another reason why I could never be queen."
A source told The People newspaper: "Charles was told by one of his aides that the programme was going to be on and his normal reaction would have been simply to shrug his shoulders and dismiss it.
"But this time he just went nuclear. It was like it was the last straw. He believes Camilla has had to endure enough and the embarrassment of this being broadcast while he is with her at Sandringham with the Queen and Philip pushed him over the edge."
The insider claims Charles is fed up because his wife doesn't deserve the criticism she gets. The source said: "He is very protective of his wife, believes she conducts herself in exemplary fashion, and does not merit the derision she so often
receives. He knows she is still trying to build her confidence as a fully-fledged Royal.
"Although it is only a TV drama it is exactly the sort of thing which he fears will affect her and set her back."
