Zara Phillips wins award for horse riding
Oct 21, 2005, 16:04 GMT
Zara Phillips, the daughter of Britain's Princess Anne, has won an award for horse riding.
The pretty royal has been awarded the Eventing prize for 2005, sponsored by the Animal Health Trust, after a series of impressive equestrian displays.
Zara's recent equestrian performances have brought her a step closer to her dream of competing in Britain's Olympic team, and royal sources insist the award another step in the footsteps of her Olympic athlete parents.
Her father, Mark Phillips, won a team gold at the 1972 Munich Games, while mum Anne competed in the Montreal Olympics in 1976.
Those close to the young royal have credited her success to her relationship with England rugby hero Mike Tindall.
The pair, who live in a cottage on Anne's Gloucestershire estate, are said to start training for their respective sports at around 6.30am, and Great Britain Olympic equestrian team manager Yogi Breisner insists it is Mike's dedication to his sport that has rubbed off on Zara.
He said: "Being with Mike really helps Zara because he is a dedicated sportsman. They inspire each other."
