Britain's Queen Elizabeth has visited east London to see the Olympic Park.
The monarch joined London 2012 chairman, Lord Sebastian Coe and London Mayor Ken Livingstone to see the 500-acre development - which will be the centrepiece of London's Olympic Games.
The queen was taken to the top of the nearby Holden Point residential tower block to view the vast site.
Construction work is already under way, with power lines and pipes are being laid.
In the next seven years an 80,000-seat stadium - which will host the opening and closing ceremonies of the games as well as various athletics events - and a variety of sporting facilities will be built there.
In the meantime, organisers used inflated colourful blimps to show the queen where things would eventually be located.
Lord Coe, who led London's successful bid, is quoted on the BBC website as saying: "The queen and Royal Family were strong supporters of London's bid and it was a delight to show Her Majesty how the Olympic Park site has continued to develop since winning the bid."
