Britain's Prince Andrew has become embroiled in a security row after refusing to take a routine airport security check.
The Duke of York reportedly argued with officials at Melbourne airport in Australia when they asked him to undergo a quick scan.
They told him he could not board the Qantas flight back to the UK until he was screened, but when Andrew still refused, staff asked him to go into a nearby room and "think about it".
The prince eventually agreed to let security guards check him with a hand-held scanner, which took just ten seconds - but he was said to be angry at the "lack of respect" show to him.
However, airport staff were equally annoyed by Andrew, with one worker fuming: "Who does he think he is? What a pompous p***k. Screening is the law. He should set an example."
A spokesperson for Melbourne airport confirmed Prince Andrew had been slightly delayed over a security incident, but Buckingham Palace has refused to comment.
Prince Andrew - who is nicknamed 'Air Miles Andy' for his love of royal travel perks - was returning home from a four-day trip to New Zealand, where he reportedly found time to enjoy a round of golf in between his official duties.
