Britain's Prince Charles has ordered his youngest son Prince Harry not to throw a wild party when he celebrates his 21st birthday.
The young prince is said to be furious a ban has been placed on his September 15 birthday celebrations.
The young royal courted controversy earlier this year when he wore a German army uniform and a Nazi swastika armband at a fancy dress party, and he later heaped more shame on his family when he was linked to a scuffle outside a London club after a drunken night out.
Charles is keen for his son to stay out of trouble, and has limited his son to a low-key gathering of close friends and family.
A friend of Harry said: "Harry loves a good party and is very frustrated that his father has forbidden him from holding his own.
"He is angry that he is about to turn 21, an age at which he can legally make all his own decisions and yet he's still under strict instructions. "He's apologised about the embarrassment he has caused his family and he's not sure what he can do to win back trust."
Aides for Charles, have denied he is banning Harry from holding a party to keep him out of trouble, insisting Charles is blocking a party because of security fears at Buckingham Palace.
Meanwhile, Harry is set to join the Household Cavalry.
The young royal, who is a third of the way through his officer training at Sandhurst Military Training Academy, is said to have been attracted to the regiment because the unit's equestrian links will enable him to continue his polo career.
