Prince Charles and wife Camilla wooed by UK TV host
Sep 1, 2005, 12:40 GMT
Britain's Prince Charles and wife Camilla are reportedly being wooed by veteran chat show host Michael Parkinson.
Insiders claim the respected host - who has interviewed some of the world's most famous people - is hoping the royal couple, who wed earlier this year, will appear on his programme, 'Parkinson'.
Parkinson, 70, is friends with Charles and Camilla and is hoping the pair will agree to be interviewed.
An insider told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Charles and Camilla have been mentioned and they would obviously be top of the wish list for the series.
"There is a side to Camilla which the public doesn't know - she has an amazing personality, is a witty and caring person.
"It would be a tremendous coup. It's no secret Charles admires Michael so people are saying why can't this happen?"
Meanwhile, Charles and Camilla are reportedly set to tour America this autumn.
Insiders say the royal couple will make their first trip to the States as a couple in October.
The ten-day tour is reported to include an official visit to the White House in Washington, where they will meet with US President George W. Bush.
Charles and Camilla are also said to be planning stops in San Francisco and New York, where they will visit Ground Zero, the site of the September 11 terror attacks.
