Security surrounding Britain's Prince Harry in doubt
Aug 15, 2005, 16:00 GMT
Security surrounding Britain's Prince Harry has been called into question after an undercover journalist was able to get into the prince's bedroom at his barracks at Sandhurst.
The journalist, who works for British newspaper News of the World, got a job as a maintenance man without any apparent checks and was issued an access all areas pass.
The reporter was then able to stroll into the prince's unguarded bedroom and came into contact with him three times.
The incident has raised fears that terror attacks aimed at the young prince would be easily achieved.
After the last security breech at Sandhurst, when a journalist was able to film Prince Harry, Britain's Defence Secretary ordered an immediate investigation.
He said at the time: "I have instructed Sandhurst to change their procedures to prevent a reoccurrence."
But the recent breech has sparked claims that the prince is still at risk. A Ministry of Defence spokesman said: "We take security at Sandhurst extremely seriously and will investigate the claims."
