Prince Harry ordered to clean out the toilets
Aug 12, 2005, 14:03 GMT
Britain's Prince Harry was ordered to clean out the toilets at his army training college before he was allowed to begin his summer holiday.
The 20-year-old officer cadet was put on toilet cleaning duties along with a number of other recruits as he approaches the end of his first term at Sandhurst.
A source at the elite academy told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Prince Harry is on scrub down duty. He will be on his hands and knees until the weekend, making sure the college is completely cleaned up.
"It is part of his training to be an independent officer, capable of looking after himself and commanding a unit of men."
Harry is said to have impressed his instructors during the gruelling training course, despite taking four days off sick.
The source added: "He has missed a few days but this is a tough training programme and he's done really well so far."
Harry plans to spend some time with his brother, Prince William, during the summer and has promised to coach William for his Sandhurst entrance exams, which he sits later this month.
