Prince Harry helping William prepare for his military exams
Aug 5, 2005, 16:22 GMT
Britain’s Prince Harry is helping big brother William prepare for his military exams – despite failing some of his own tests at the army academy.
The 20-year-old royal – who is already in officer training at the world-renowned Sandhurst Academy - is reportedly going on holiday with 23-year-old William so he can give him a crash course on passing the selection exams.
Harry, who has been plagued by minor illness since entering the academy and who flunked some computer tests during his own training, will start tutoring St Andrew’s University graduate William when he returns from a working holiday in Kenya next week.
An aide is quoted in Britain’s Daily Mirror as saying: “William has always been the brainy one, so for his brother to teach him is quite unusual.
“But Harry has been an officer trainee since May and has promised to get him in.”
An Army source is quoted in Britain’s Sun newspaper as saying: “The Regular Commission Board test sorts the men from the boys. It will be a huge advantage for William to pick his brother’s brains.”
William is due to sit his exams - which involve assault courses, interviews, group discussions and command tasks - next month.
