Prince William the businessman
Jul 26, 2005, 14:34 GMT
Britain's Prince William will learn how to rule the royal finances like a modern businessman when he starts work in London’s City district this autumn.
The young prince is keen to acquire the skills which will help him eventually to have a hands-on role as the head of the Royal family.
His father, Prince Charles, has been accused of treating the royal estate like an archiac 'personal fiefdom', but William wants a modern monarchy run on cutting edge financial principles.
A senior royal source told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper: "William is a bright young man who is well aware that the public has greater expectations in terms of a value-for-money monarchy than ever.
"He knows he needs to understand how the estate works from top to bottom."
