We could all get our 'wings' if we had the millions this individual has got, and still have the taxpayer to fund us in all we do.

Neil, how right you are! He will be 'in the reserves' when Dubya bombs Iran, never to see the light of the flak. Am I being unkind? We shall see in the fullness of time.I paid for my pilots licence (Stapleford)so why can't he?

Neil, all RAF pilots have their training payed for by the taxpayer, regardless of personal income. William no doubt worked hard to get them (albeit on a much shortened course) as I did for mine. As a future head of the armed forces, wouldnt you rather he mucked in a bit and did the work rather than leading an organisation he would know nothing about without this round-robin of training he is doing? Clearly you have no idea what you are talking about.

Also, Colin, his flying training, although far better than that of the average PPL course, will not qualify him for a pilots license.
