Comedian Dave Coulier, (Full House), is singer Alanis Morissette's male muse and object of venom in the song, "You Ought to Know".

The actor finally admitted to a Canadian paper that he he was the inspiration for the famous anthemic song by Morissette.

Morissette was a teen when the two became lovers, and apparently flipped out when Coulier dumped her for someone his age.

Lyrics by Alanis:

And I'm here, to remind you
Of the mess you left when you went away
It's not fair, to deny me
Of the cross I bear that you gave to me
    You, you, you oughta know

You seem very well, things look peaceful
I'm not quite as well, I thought you should know
Did you forget about me, Mr. Duplicity?
I hate to bug you in the middle of dinner
It was a slap in the face
    How quickly I was replaced
And are you thinking of me when you f... her?

Morissette played coy for years over who the inspiration was for the angry song.  Even HBO star Larry David based a "Curb Your Enthusiasm" episode on the mystery of the song.

Some names bandied about as the rumored bad boy that caused harm to Ms. Morissette were hockey star Doug Gilmour and Mike Peluso, Friends star Matt Lebanc, and Canadian music producer Leslie Howe.

The Calgary Sun broke the news, Coulier told the newspaper:

"I said, 'Wow, this girl is angry (when he first heard the song while driving).' And then I said, 'Oh man, I think it's Alanis,'" Coulier revealed. "I listened to the song over and over again, and I said, 'I think I have really hurt this person.'"

Coulier said that he and Alanis are right as rain now.
