From Monsters and Critics.com People News Senator Hillary Clinton is not quitting the race for the presidency. Clinton is still on her campaign trail all over the country and recently spoke to Extra in Oregon. Clinton told Extra, “What’s happening in politics today - It’s becoming more and more participatory…We want to communicate with everyone. You do everything from the Sunday morning news shows to ‘Extra.’” Clinton spoke at Oregon’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital where she was reunited with one of her loyal supporters, Jordan Kokick, who she met 14 years ago through Make-a-Wish Foundation when Jordan was battling cancer. Kokick exclaimed, “Of course I was nervous…[But] when she got here, she makes you feel at ease.” As to why she supports Clinton, Kokick responded, “I believe in her because she’s taking something like universal health….She’s been fighting it since then [1993] and she continues to fight for it.” Regarding universal healthcare, Clinton added, “It’s a real moral dilemma that imposes on our country. We should be taking care of everybody. We’re rich enough, we’re smart enough.” Clinton told “Extra” that she has no plans to drop out of the presidential race saying, “I am determined to see them through [other primaries] because I have so many people counting on me…I also believe that I am the better candidate to take on Senator McCain and to win in November and be the president that our country needs right now. I’m going to continue to move forward.” As to whether or not Clinton would be Barack Obama’s Vice President, she commented, “I will do whatever I can to make sure we win in November…We have to first get a nominee and then we have to determine how to win…No matter what the outcome of this, we will have a unified party…I don’t think our country can afford four more years with Republican policies.” In light of Mother’s Day, Clinton expressed her appreciation for daughter Chelsea. She said, “I am so grateful for her love and her support. It’s been a joy campaigning with her.” As for Clinton’s message to Simon Cowell who’s advice to win is to cry more. She said, “If you heard me sing, YOU’D be shedding tears.” “Extra’s” interview with Hillary Clinton airs on Monday, May 12th.
