Cameron Diaz loses her Father to pneumonia

Actress Cameron Diaz has lost her father, Emilio, in a shock sudden death.

TMZ reports that Diaz's father died suddenly early this morning due to complications from the flu which turned into pneumonia.

Emilio Diaz was just 58 years old.

Mr. Diaz was reportedly a well-liked resident of Seal Beach, California.  The news comes as a shock to Cameron who was working on set when she got the news.

TMZ claims Emilio was in "terrific health."

Diaz was on the set of "My Sister's Keeper." The production shut down as the star had to tend to her family business.

Wikipedia notes that Cameron's Father was a second generation Cuban-American and he had a small part in his daughter's film "There's Something About Mary" as "Jailbird."
