Robert Downey Jr. used to regularly bed his co-stars.

The 'Iron Man' actor claims Hollywood stars often enjoy on set romantic liaisons, and has confessed to seducing many of his colleagues in the past.

He said: "I remember certain colleagues having a lot of fun with me on set in the past. Every second star goes to bed with his co-star because they spend so much time together. But I'm not going to start reeling off the names."

Robert - who was jailed for 180 days in 1997 after continuing to use drugs while on probation following his 1996 arrest for drink-driving and heroin possession - credits his film producer wife Susan Levin with turning his life around.

He added to Scotland's Daily Record newspaper: "She is a great cheerleader for me. I got the right girl.

"Of course, I am afraid of falling back into the clutches of substance abuse - everybody is - but my wife is there for me."

The 43-year-old actor previously dated Hollywood stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Marisa Tomei.

He was also married to actress Deborah Falconer - who he has a 14-year-old son Indio with - from 1992 until 2004.
