From Monsters and Critics.com People News The Jonas Brothers are America's hottest boy band at the moment. They also will keep their virginity intact, and wear purity rings as proof. Details magazine got a glimpse of the proof in Madison Square Garden, as the Jonas Brothers showed off their purity rings. Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas reportedly wear the metal bands on their fingers to symbolize, as Joe puts it, "promises to ourselves and to God that we'll stay pure till marriage." Joe is 18. Nick, who is 15, says, "I got mine made at Disney World. It's pretty awesome." Kevin, at 20, and his ring representing a vow of abstinence is bejeweled with studs. "It's pretty rock and roll," Kevin tells Details. "It's getting banged up a little bit because of the guitar." The Jonas Brothers harken back the days of the squeaky clean Osmonds, despite the fact the culture is awash in South Park and Adult Swim cartoons and films like Superbad, American Pie spin-offs and a phalanx of Farrelly Brothers films. Behind the sugar coated sweetness of the Jonas brothers is behemoth Disney. The reach of the multimedia corporation all but guarantees that the Jonas Brothers will be a juggernaut of G-rated cash windfalls for many. Also on tap is the smallscreen project J.O.N.A.S., a TV series with a tip of the hat to the old Monkees show from the Sixties. "It's an acronym for Junior Operatives Networking As Spies," Joe tells Details. "We are secret agents, and our cover is that we're a band." © Copyright 2007 by monstersandcritics.com.
