Usher's fiancée Tameka Foster has slammed rumours the pair cancelled their wedding because the singer's mother was against the nuptials.

Tameka, who is pregnant with the couple's first child, was due to marry the R'n'B star on Saturday (28.07.07).

But the 'Confessions' singer reportedly cancelled the wedding at the last minute because his mother Jonetta Patton - who was left off the guest list because of her alleged ongoing feud with Tameka - wasn't going to be there.

However, Tameka insists there's no truth in the rumours.

She said: "No one knows why we cancelled the wedding, but I can tell you that all of the reasons that everyone is speculating and writing about are completely untrue."

The 37-year-old also denied reports she was rushed to hospital after going into premature labour when the nuptials were shelved.

She told People magazine: "We had a scare. But, I am fine and the baby is fine."

The ceremony was due to take place at record executive L.A. Reid's Hamptons estate but was called off just two hours before proceedings were due to begin.

No official reason for the cancellation was given to the 100 wedding guests, which included Beyoncé Knowles and her lover Jay-Z, Janet Jackson and Ashanti.
