From Monsters and Critics.com People News Avril Lavigne is set to swap singing for acting. The diminutive star, who recently had roles in 'Fast Food Nation' and 'The Flock', is on the look out for a lead Hollywood role. Avril is reportedly in talks with Sony BMG for a major part in a "thriller feature film", playing a "kind of a white trash girl". The 22-year-old, who is already signed as a recording artist to Sony BMG, made her film debut voicing a character in the 2006 animated movie 'Over The Hedge'. Despite having major success as a singer, Avril is said to be keen to do more "outside of music". Avril - who shot to fame aged 17 with hit singles like 'Complicated' and 'Sk8er Boi' - has already turned her talents to modelling as well, landing a contract with Ford Models agency.
