Nick Carter ordered into alcohol treatment program

Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter was ordered into a three-month alcohol treatment program in Orange County, California on Tuesday, after pleading guilty in Superior Court to drunk driving.Carter was also fined $1,200 and placed on three years of informal probation with restricted driving privileges for 90 days.Carter was pulled over in Huntington Beach on March 5 when he pulled out of a parking structure and started driving down Main Street. He was arrested and charged with one count of driving under the influence and one count of driving with a blood alcohol level above the legal limit of .08 percent.After the arrest, the singer’s rep released a statement saying, “Nick Carter deeply regrets the current situation. He is on doctor prescribed medication and was unaware of its interaction possibilities.”
