Celebrities, politicians and Katie’s parents take sides in Cruise conflict

Several celebrities and politicians are joining in on the clash between Tom Cruise and…well, everyone who thinks psychiatry is helpful.
Marie Osmond, who struggled with postpartum depression, criticized Cruise for his much publicized comments regarding Brooke Shields.
“What he said is very harsh for women who live it or have lived through it," says Osmond. "He should not sit in judgment.”
King of Queens actress Leah Remini, a fellow Scientologist and friend of Cruise, defended him at the War of the Worlds premiere in L.A. on Monday. “Tom hasn't gone crazy. Tom is a beautiful person who does a lot of good things for good people.”
She even went so far as to say she would “punch someone in the mouth” if they said anything bad about Cruise.
This week, the Congressional Mental Health Caucus criticized his remarks. “It is unfortunate that Tom Cruise has sought to use his celebrity to once again negatively reinforce the unfortunate stigma associated with mental illness,” said Rep. Grace Napolitano (D-Calif.), co-chair of the caucus, The Hill newspaper reports.
Katie Holme’s parents are both devout Catholics and are at odds regarding Cruise’s faith in Scientology.
When Holme’s father Martin was asked about Scientology on June 23, he answered, “I don’t believe in it.”
However, her mother answered, “Whatever somebody believes in is fine.”

Propaganda has made depression into a medical thing, not science. Depression is a life and spritual problem, or a SYMPTOM of actual medical problems. You don't need a medical degree to help people make their lives better, or to warn against those things you know make people's lives worse.
I commend Tom for speaking out, standing up for what he feels is right and braving the media bullets.
If you have to have a medical license to:
Help people overcome depression
Help a person whose life is a rollercoaster (Bi-polar/manic depressive) find who is ruining their life and handle or leave that person
Get a mom to eliminate sugar from her hyperactive child’s diet and he/she calms down and is able to focus
Speak out about the fact that there is hope to resolve life’s problems, and that you don’t have to be medicated to be happy
Encourage others to exercise and take vitamins to lead a healthy lifestyle
Then you are looking at psychiatry insinuating itself as the world’s religion, and attempting to make a monopoly out of human help.

Once again after finally making his way back into the hearts of Americans,
Tom Cruise has opened his mouth and proved he is still stuck on himself.
So he does not believe in Mental conditions but he things Aliens are real.
Good one Tom... I bet Nicole is glad she is no longer with you now.
When he has a Degree in Medicine then he can talk. Stick to your movies.
Remember just because you read something about mental illness does not make
it true. Remember those Newspapers you sue over what they printed? Sure you do.
