Iam from the uk (london), was in new york 2weeks ago an went to macys in new york to get a set of new nails put on!
my sister and i couldnt belive that firstly they didnt sanitise the hands or tools,so when we said that 'dont you do that here!' they just got us to wash are hands!
They had a maneger that didnt no anything about applying nails, an staff that were just as clueless.
My sister is studying in london, to be a nail technition, when they had applyed the tip(white french)half way down her nail, she said that this is not right but they were saying once the gel is on it will be ok! she said to them that this cant be as the tip is white and in the wrong place, they carred on untill she had to get louder an tell them to take them off. cause they wouldnt listen to her and kept saying this is ok!'it will be ok'
It took 4 hours befor we left!
An my nails wernt even dry!
they lasted me all of 2 day and i had paid $120.00.
The salon maneger was very rude but quick to take my money, my sister didnt pay at the time. but she is paying now as she has nails that are so soft that when she touches anything her tips of her fingers hurt so much, and keep spliting.
This is not what you expect when you go to a place like MACYS.

Paula is not just looking for attention. If more people were aware of how unsanitary most salons were...they would feel much different about this subject. I am a lisenced Nail Tech since 1989. I have seen more staff infections in the past year than you would want to know about...from what? Unsanitary nail implements. GO PAULA!!!!!!
