Denise Richards talked to Us Weekly for her first interview since the birth of her second child, Lola Rose, on June 1.
Richards tells the magazine that leaving her husband, Charlie Sheen, was “the hardest decision I’ve ever made in my entire life.”
Sheen was by her side when she gave birth to Lola. The couple also has a 15-month-old daughter, Sam. She does not reveal why she filed for divorce after three years of marriage.
Richards tells the magazine, “I never in a million years thought I would be in the position I am today. Life is what it is. I just have to make the best of it.”
“Right now, I'm thinking about being a good mom. I have many moments where I'm not feeling brave. ... But at home, I have two girls to now focus on. I have to put on a brave face. I have to take care of them, be happy and keep things positive. It's really important.”
She also says that she “possibly” would like to have more children in the future. She plans to breast-feed between takes of her new UPN TV show, Sex, Lies & Secrets. Richards also says she would consider posing for Playboy again as she did five months after the birth of her first child.
