Supermodel Tyson Beckford injured in accident

Model Tyson Beckford was injured after his truck crashed into a utility pole and burst into flames shortly before 5 a.m. Monday.Beckford, 34, is known for his ads for Ralph Lauren Polo and has appeared in magazines such as Essence, Vogue and GQ. He also appears in numerous music videos and was named on of People magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” in 1995.Beckford lost control of his 2004 Dodge Ram and skidded into the pole, said Detective Thomas O’Keeffe. The truck then caught fire and Beckford pulled himself out before it became fully engulfed in flames. He was taken to the Jersey City Medical Center where he was treated for head trauma.Beckford was discharged Monday afternoon and his manager, Bethann Hardison, told the New York Daily News the injuries weren’t serious
