Katie Holmes on Tom Cruise romance: ‘If you’re not on board, then fine.’
By Cindy Locke Jun 7, 2005, 18:35 GMT
Tom Cruise, 42, has been doing his share of publicly gushing about Katie Holmes, but now Holmes is doing her own talking. She used the Batman Begins press junket to speak on how she feels about the media attention and the tabloids.
“Things like articles, whatever, I don't care," says Holmes, 26. “If you're not on board, then fine. Fine. I'm so happy. I truly feel like the luckiest woman in the world.”
Last week, Us Weekly declared on its front cover that Holmes and Cruise are, “Getting Married!”
Holmes denies the rumors of marriage, but says, “I'm not engaged. But it makes me smile to think about it.”
The magazine also showed aerial shots of Cruise’s home with an arrow pointing to Holmes’s BMW parked in front.
“You want to show maps, show a map," she says. "I don't care. Write what you want to write. I just feel so lucky to know him. It's such a privilege to love him. That's how I feel.”
During the weekend press junket, Cruise sat outside Holmes’s interview room for most of the day waiting for her to finish. Several times they were caught kissing in the hotel’s hallways. “I caught them kissing in the hallway,” says Batman co-star Michael Caine. “She's a quiet, lovely girl. And suddenly I see her in the papers with Tom Cruise. It almost seems out of character. But it's a wonderful romance.”
"There are so many people who are so happy for us," Holmes says. "And we're so happy. We're really enjoying each other. I miss him when he leaves the room. I miss him right now. I love being with him every second of the day."
Holmes says she is studying Cruise's religion, Scientology. “I'm learning about it and I'm excited.”

GO KATIE AND TOM
This relationship turns my stomach! It seems to weird to be real although I do believe it is real. I feel sorry for Katie, I alsway admired hire but now I think What...!
FreeKatie.net
Poor Katie, Tom is getting her to join a CULT! Look those sci-guys up.
I think people who don't understand important things, that are life changing, tend to fear them terribly. I see your nasty postings and the only thing that I can really see from them is 'Wow, they don't get it..!'
Why do you think you hear bad media on things that are good? Beacuse people who are trying to make a diference are always attacked by huge money making companies such as the psychotropic-drug makers. Do you think they want you to be informed? Aware of what they are doing to society? Absolutely not! Then they would loose profits!
Truth always prevails, my friend, wether you like it or not. If someone is happy, do you really mind?Or do you prefer it when people- celebrities are promiscous drug addicts? I bet that makes your day more interesting.
Another way would be to get your own life. That way you don't have to be in anyone elses.
Best!

People are not all up in Tom and Katie. It's the other way around. When Tom was on Oprah, Oprah could not get anything out of him. He talked about how he has never experienced anything like Katie before. He acted so weirded out that even Oprah wasn't getting it. Things probably would have been different if Tom had not bad-mouthed Brooke Shields. When I heard what he said it made me think differently about this whole thing. If Katie is so great like Tom says, then why is he teaching her his religion. Accept her as she is. I don't know if any of his previous wives practiced scientology but maybe Katie's willingness to throw herself into it, is and of itself, the turn-on Tom's been waiting for. I just feel Tom has gotten a little arrogant.
I don't feel sorry for Katie at all! I think she's a very fortunate young woman, and I believe she feels that way, too.
As a mother who has suffered from post-partum depression, I can tell you that it is difficult indeed. It takes loving people around one, to help out and ease the burden. It also takes a good doctor to help sort out various nutritional deficiencies and hormonal balances.
I can say that Prozac and other psychiatric drugs are NOT the cure for post-partum depression. Rather, finding the underlying illness or problematic condition IS. The psychiatric drugs simply mask the symptoms, while making things worse. I have a friend who was hospitalized for post-partum mental problems - put in a psychiatric hospital and drugged to oblivion. Her husband managed to get her released (by lying to the hospital authorities). He then took her to a competent doctor who discovered that she had a severe case of hyperthyroidism, brought on by the birth. It was making her crazy. The drugs they gave her in the hospital certainly did not address her hormonal problems.
Within a few weeks of proper medical treatment, she was fine.
The hospital would have kept her for months - or longer - drugged up the entire time, if her husband had not intervened.

Remember Andrea Yates? She was given Effexor and other psychiatric drugs for 'post-partum depression'. Not surprisingly, they just made her worse.
I think Tom Cruise is doing an excellent thing by educating people about the dangers of psychiatric drugging. They are very real. In almost every school shooting, the murderer is on these drugs. Some of the drugs we give kids here in the US are illegal to give to kids in England (such as Luvox, which can make children homicidal and suicidal - that's the drug Bryn Hartman was on when she killed Phil Hartman and committed suicide.)
I think Katie is fortunate to have hooked up with a fellow who seems to care so much about how other people are doing!
big surprise that now she is becoming a Scientologist - SHOCKER!! You can't be with Tom Cruise and not be a Scientologist.
Katie is stupod if she goes thoruhg with this marriage! So is Tom! Just last week they were having second thoughts! Lots of People have second thoughts, but seriously both of them ! Why don't they wait. They have known eachother for what 2 months! Tom will take Katie and CHANGE her. He awlays does to these girls who fall in his little love trap! This is all BS! She should not go through with it. Some people say oh it is love! Well I hate to break it to you all!, but it takes alot more tham two months to find love. I mean MARRIAGE! This is ridiculous if they DO go through with it, I give 3 months.
In this pic with the black dress she looks very preggers. It is a bad pic. Not to mention, Katie, they say your out break was from nerves, that is HERPIES. Sorry Hun, You have HERPIES of the lips. Bet Nicole would be upset if you gave that to her kids, dont drink out of their cups hun, cuz that is what it is. Sorry you have Herpies. Tom, Eater up@#!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wanted to marry Tom.
I think it's great how Katie and Tom are so in love like they are. Compared to some relationships the age comparison is not that bad. All i really have to say is i hope they have a long and very happy marriage. I Love Tom and i love Katie! So i think they make a great couple. Actually i'm kinda jealous of Katie. But i am shocked in a good way that they are together and as happy as they are! :)
It is unbelievable what Tom is saying. I am a physician and having seen some of the terrible psychitric conditions out there, to even suggest that psychitric medications are essentially 'wrong' is incredibly shortsighted. I would love for Tom to see these patients present to the ER with acute psychosis and prescribe them 'vitatmins and exercise.' See how much you help them then Tom! Or, I would love to Tom to see the chronic schizophrenics who have not taken their meds, sit down and talk with them to understand their reality. It's horrific when they are not on their meds.
Well, I guess I should go for a run and then take my vitamins to feel all warm and fuzzy inside and then submit to the Church of Scientology.
psychitric=psychiatric (forgot my 'a's when typing, sorry).
That relationship will never work mainly because he is obviously controling her. He is indoctrinating her into beleiving scientology which in my opinion is a complete insult to the catholic faith and her parents should be putting a stop to it. If Tom really loved Katie he would be encouraging her to continue with her catholic faith. Faith is not something to be followed just for the weekend or for the summer or for perhaps 2 years. It is a lifetime commitment. If they actually go through with this wedding then Katie and Tom will have little chance for survival as Katie has already shown that she can ditch her catholic faith without battering an eyelid and can do so with Tom as well.
Her parents should put a stop to it? Listen to you! Who gave you the right to dictate what others should or should't believe?? Think you're cool acting like thought police, well think again! There's no place for that crap in a civilized society.
they even changed the pic ==== that is SAD AND I SAY SGAIN SAAADDDDDDDDDDDDDDd
