Dave Chappelle back on the scene

For the first time since disappearing to South Africa in April, Dave Chappelle made two surprise appearances Wednesday night in Los Angeles.The Hollywood Improv was his first stop where he took the stage for a 25-minute routine. It was collegehumor.com night and as reported on their Web site, part of Chappelle’s routine went like this: “When I see people, they pretend that they haven't heard anything about this whole thing. Then I'll say something like, 'I'm not crazy,' and then they'll say, 'Oh yeah, that's right. I read something about that.'”Chappelle showed up unannounced to L.A.’s Comedy Store and performed in front of an audience of about 20 people telling them he had just arrived from the airport. Chappelle’s reps refused to comment on his appearances or the future of Comedy Central’s Chappelle Show.
