New Carl’s Jr. Commercial features Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton’s famous words, ‘That’s Hot’, will be the focus of a new commercial for CKE Restaurant, Inc., which owns fast food chains Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s.
The 30-second commercial reportedly opens with Hilton in a revealing black bathing suit as she washes her Bentley with loads of suds and water hoses. After taking a huge bite of a sandwich with barbecue sauce and jalapeno peppers she says into the camera, “That’s hot.”
The Carl's Jr. ad begins airing Tuesday, followed by the Hardee's version next month. The CKE web site will feature a “raicer” 60-second version.
President and Chief Executive Officer of CKE Restaurants, Inc., Andrew Puzder says it was their ad agency who suggested using Hilton. “She's very appealing to our demographic,” which he described as young, hungry guys.

Original founder of Carl's Jr. must be turning over in his tomb right now. It is absolutely scandalous how a Paris Hilton commercial can be shown during the day so that our children can watch it. What does a hamburger have to do with a practically naked woman, taking a soap bath and sensually eating the burger? Why kill innocence? This is a family restaurant that children love to visit and Paris Hilton is not exactly what I want my children to model after. I have enjoyed your food and I have chosen your fast food over others because the food is good. I am sure there are Americans throughout our nation that feel the same way and do not need Paris Hilton advertising for you. My children should not have to be scandalized by a personality like Paris Hilton. Please know that my family in Texas, who loved to travel 30 miles to Van Ormy just to get one of your burgers, will no longer be making that trip again. If I am in Dallas or in McAllen, as I often am, our family will boycott and not buy from your restaurant. Our extended family in California and in Washington will no longer be giving you their business either. Remember that the best advertisement is 'word of mouth'. I hope that there are still enough executives within your organization that can show some dignity and respect for families throughout America that do not want their children watching this commercial ...and.... they order this piece of sex trash off the airwaves.
If any children see the spot and have no innocence it won't be because of this. There are more provocative pics on the covers of womens magazines in the grocerey checkout. The articles they tout would be banned if they were mens mags. Get Over It, or, put women in Burkas where they won't tempt anyone.
You should be receiving your thank-you cards from McDonalds, Jack in the Box and Wendys any day. Your tasteless and offensive commercial with Paris Hilton was great advertisement for your competitors.
All one can conclude from what you have deemed acceptable advertisement is that you are not a honorable company. You have further exposed children to sexually provocative images, you have thoughtlessly put your employees in the line of fire from angry consumers, and you have done your part to drag this society's conscience into the dregs of immorality. The Paris Hilton ad will attract young and single men. That will probably attract young sexy women. So, is Carl's Jr. trying to get a singles bar scene? All I wanted to see in that 30 second spot was the beautiful car. It is few and far between times when that type of automobile is featured in a national commercial, and you hire some skinny blonde who obviously has NOT eaten her lunch to block the automobile. This is really stupid. Next time just show the car, that's what we are really interested in!
I think the commercial was great. I my self think Paris Hilton is extremely annoying but it's very entertaining to see all the Christians hypocrites get all worked up. 18 of us lunch every week at Carl's Jr. in the LA area. We have recently discovered that In and Out has a better burger at a lower price without SEX. I can not begin to express my disappointment with the new comercial featuring Paris Hilton. It is a disgrace that my children had to see this while watching a children's television network. I agree with others that I will no longer be choosing Carl's Jr. as an eatery for my family. My extended family also feels the way that I do and they too will no longer be giving their business to Carl's Jr. We will be holding a special meeting at our church and will be passing this news along to our members and know that they too will be glad to help in our boycott. McDonald's was put down for their grease and salt. I will be returning to them where they keep a family atmosphere and don't degrade their business to that level...
Get over it! Paris Hilton plays the game while she can and is one smart businesswoman. CJ has one excellent marketing force. For those people complaining (and obviously not stock holders) save your health and money by not eating burgers. This would set a better example for your kids than worrying about bare skin. Duh. This commercial is trash. Much of what is on TV at this time is. YES, sex sells...the billions in pornography are proof of that, but, all this is going to do is make more people 'remember the name' of the restaurant...and most of us poorly - people don't buy a burger b/c they saw someone act ridiculous. Why should the people who don't want to see trash on TV turn it off? I did see this commercial while with both of my children. My 6 year old son was attracted by the music and then watched the commercial. When it was over, his comment was 'Wow, that's a big burger'! After all the hoopla about the ad being too racy for television and what should we say to our children when it comes on, I decided I would ask my son what he thought about 'the girl ' in the commercial. We saw the commercial again the next morning on the Today show as they discussed the soft porn aspect of the commercial. (Check into daytime drama) and explain the 6 o'clock news to your kids, but that is another subject. I did ask my son what he thought of Paris and his response to the question, 'she has a really big mouth, I wonder if she talks a lot'! So, there you go! Carls's Jr. will not ruin or corrupt my children with their spicy hamburger. We probably won't go and buy one, we don't eat much fast food, we watched Super Size Me and gave up most fast food! But we love the commercial and my 10 year old daughter and I got a great laugh about the whole thing. Plus, it is a real kick to tell the Paris story here at the office. My son is a real gem, as you can tell. People should lighten up and worry about the real problems in the world.

This commercial is very offensive. I do not think it should be aired. Now we have to censor our commercials for our kids. Carls Jr. has lost a loyal customer. I came across this whole scandal by accident on the net, have yet to see it on TV. I am a mother of three children under the age of 7 and I agree there is way to much filth on TV. This goes to prove how far some people are willing to push the 'freedom of speech' act. I am really ashamed to live in a country where sex is publicized so freely. One day this world will learn their actions have consequences. If I am in the comfort of my home watching a decent show (which are scarce) I should not have to turn my TV off or change the channel because someone has chosen to promote a burger in such a tasteless fashion. I don't chose restaurants by their ads and I am sure the majority of the population doesn't either. From the comments I've read, most people who see this commercial fall into two camps: 1. Offended that burgers are being sold with sex 2. Offended that the people of group #1 are offended and believe Paris is part of an enlightened sexuality.
Since when did healthy sexuality involve ground beef and automobiles? Come on people! If the whole sexual revolution brought us to this, that's no great accomplishment. Isn't healthy sexuality something that brings people closer together in trusting relationships? When a commercial about hamburgers is your idea of fulfilled sexuality, it's time to reexamine how shallow your sexuality has become.

What ever happened to the fact that 'Carl's Jr's food is SO good that it sells itself!!!!! Paris Hilton wouldn't know a REAL hamburger ( like us regular people that have REAL home cooking) The 'not so suttle sex-act with water, sponge and the car--------------YucKKKKK. I believe that other fast food restaurants should do the same to avoid irresponsible parents to bring their children to any fast food because they are lazy to cook a descent meal at home.

I believe also that it would decrease the number of obese children and people in America, reducing at the same times health care prices to a better rate for everyone.

Paris IS HOT. Parents afraid of their children seeing this ad mid-as-well get rid of their TVs because I'm pretty sure that most TV shows now have swear words, and very sexual contents in them. I would almost rather my son see this Paris commercial and think shes hot rather than watch a 'family show' and start talking like the characters on the shows. This ad plays during 'regular' shows that I normally watch, or allow my kids to watch. I was embarassed by the hoopla over the 'wardrobe malfunction' and considered myself open-minded...but this ad steps over the line. Changing the channel means not watching tv, because as far as I know there is no posted schedule for when these ads will show. In the right context, for the right audience, who cares...but during prime-time family viewing on regular tv, this ad has gone too far. My friends (all fairly liberal) and I will all be boycotting CJ until this ad is removed and an apology provided to the public. I'm puzzled, wasn't everyone ashamed and embarrassed for those want-ta-be execs on the Apprentice who made the cucumber commercial...not even as close to sexual as this one! Boo to Carl's Jr.!

Everytime your Paris commercial comes on I get very angry, and turn off the T.V. Till you take the distastful commercial off, myself and my family refuses to go to Carl's Jr.

We will be boycotting your restaurant until you remove the filth from our living rooms.
This is the world people. Face reality; sex sells. By boycotting this commercial you wiont really be affecting the company. Tons of men will come to eat burgers after seeing this.(ps ALL OF YOU PEOPLE STOP TALKING TO CARLS JUNIOR LIKE THEY ARE READING YOUR POST. That is absurd and makes you all sound like 3rd graders.) I mean come on. Also why should you change just because of an ad. Ive seen much worse things on TV such as Naked women and poeple having sex. Grow UP.

I have seen the Paris Hilton Bikini Joes bikinis everywhere, are they selling burgers or Joes Bikinis. I live on the east coast where there are Hardees and I have not seen one Paris Hilton Ad. In states in the south and Bible Belt they would just stop buying the Burgers or the Swimsuits. www.bikinijoe.com, Bikini Joes has a store in Myrtle Beach SC where they are trying to stop the black bike week and maybe even the Harley spring and fall rally to do so. I ate one of the Burgers today at a Hardees, not one employee had even heard of the Ad, same company, same burgers.

Paris Hilton and the Carls ad with this one piece Bikini (Swimsuit) could cause the sexy one piece swimsuit to be shown in Miami at the upcomimg swimwear show in July by lots of copy companies.

Wah wah waahhh! Quit yer B* Pruding. There were no 'wardrobe malfunctions' of over the hill hasbeens, violence, drugs, parentless US children. It was just a pretty girl in a swimsuit washing an expensive car that most people who eat at Carl's barely even dream of having. If you're concerned about wrecking or ruining your children, then quit letting the TV babysit & raise them; that's YOUR job. Otherwise, get off your duff and spend quality time with them, going outside with them, or otherwise doing wholesome things with them. No one station or program is reasonably going to entertain children and grownups, because they're different.
I know it is 2 years later. Still that bentley and Paris was one inappropriate food commercial from carl's. Now they come up with a commercial of 'flat burger' or 'flat buns' featuring what start out to be a classroom teacher in glasses and tight suit.And she starts flaunting her chests and butt. I'm sure female teachers really appreciate that.
