J. Lo Protested by PETA at Premier
By Cindy Locke May 2, 2005, 18:18 GMT
Several protesters representing People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals showed up at Jennifer Lopez’s premiere of her latest film “Monster-in-Law” holding up signs stating she is the “monster-in-fur”.
Part of Lopez’s clothing line, Sweetface, features several pieces with fur. PETA has asked Lopez several times to remove the fur from the line, but have gotten no response.
"She could make a difference in a positive manner, and what she does is cause the death of a lot of animals," protester Linda Kraemer said during Friday's demonstration.
When asked what she thought of the protesters, Lopez replied: "I don't."
