Pop beauty Natasha Bedingfield is thrilled her Single song became a huge anthem for women - because it proves that like her, most females prefer the single life and don't want pity.The 23-year-old singer resents the growing number of ballads claiming women are lonely without lovers, so she wrote the chart-topping track to prove single life can be fun - and its success has proved other women agree.She explains, "There are too many songs that talk about the lonely side to being single, and of course everyone has a Bridget Jones moment. But I felt there weren't enough songs focusing on the fun side."Single is an anthem about choosing to be single. You get people saying to you, 'Poor you. Why are you single?' It's not poor me. I've chosen this. It's not like I don't get offers. It's just it's not the right person or the right time."At the moment there's too much choice and not enough time."
