The papers cite "irreconcilable differences" with Aniston also requesting that her legal surname taken from the actor be removed.The glamorous couple announced their split in January but are believed to have tried to reconcile, taking counseling and meeting up frequently.However, it is thought that Aniston's intent to concentrate on her career, as opposed to starting a family, and the rumors over Pitt's relationship with Angelina Jolie put any hope of the couple getting back on track to rest.The movie conflicts with he general buzz in Hollywood with rumors flying over the last two weeks that they were set to get back together, Pitt's spokesman even said they were not proceeding with a divorce.The rumor regards Pitt's relationship, or otherwise, with Angelina Jolie has not gone away. Jolie, recently voted the sexist woman in the world by FHM, worked alongside Pitt in the movie "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," where the two play a married couple hired to assassinate one another.Life & Style Weekly has a feature on the pair's relationship together with photos of them appearing quite close. They also quote set insiders from the film as saying when the couple had to kiss they were not acting, though all the tabloids have been desperate to get new angles on the story so no doubt a pinch of salt is required.In practical terms the divorce will probably mean a 50/50 split of assets with the pair each being worth circa $100 million.The couple met in 1998 and were married in 2000.

Jolie is such a bitch!! She new Brad was married but that didnt stop her, i still hope one day that Brad and Jen re-unite and have a family together.
