Zack Sinclair Guilty of Stalking Mel Gibson
By James Wray Mar 4, 2005, 23:54 GMT
Zack Sinclair, the man accused of stalking Mel Gibson, has been found guilty.
Sinclair, 34, sent twelve letters to Gibson telling him he had been sent by god to pray with the actor. He also repeatedly avoided security and appeared at the gate of Gibson's Malibu estate, demanding the star pray with him.
Representing himself, he did not mount a defense because, he said, the "burden of proof is going to be to heaven."
He was arrested in September and served with a restraining order prohibiting him from approaching Gibson or his family. However, the day after the order was served he was released and went straight back to Gibson's home; leading to his second arrest.
He now faces up to 16 months in prison, though he is to face psychiatric examination first to see if he is fit for prison. A decision will be made on March 10.

I am shocked that a poor man who just wanted to
pray with Mel Gibson has been jailed for 3 years.
I find this to be very revealing about his real true
attitude given his 'Passion of the Christ' movie.
While I do not know all of the details about everything
that happened, I do know that someone wasn't true
to their own professed beliefs in Matthew 25:45 and
this is an important thing to consider (Mat 25:31-46).
If this disturbs me even though I am not a follower of
their faith, then why doesn't it disturb many others
who do believe in the words of Matthew 25:31-46?
Actions do speak louder than words and in this case
there is a message for all who are willing to see it
and to learn from it because it can open our eyes.
He does not deserve what is happening to him. He did not mean any harm, and yes he needs treatment, but not like that. It breaks my heart to see him like that.

Wow, what happened to Zack Sinclair? I went to school with Zack starting at Sawtooth Elementary, all the way through Twin Falls High School in Twin Falls, Idaho. His father was well-to-do. His mother was super nice. They had a beautiful canyon-side home. Zack, buddy, I lost contact with you when I moved to Los Angeles in 1988. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!
