Courtney Love Seeks Deal with Prosecutors

Troubled star Courtney Love has made a deal with the Los Angeles district attorney over assault and drug possession charges.

The singer had been facing two charges for both assault and drug possession but under the plea deal these would be reduced to one charge of assault with a deadly weapon and a misdemeanor for the narcotic charge.

The prosecutors have also tempered their demand for probation to summary probation and continuing with drug treatment.

A judge will decide whether or not to approve the deal next week.
