Marcia Cross Puzzled by Gay Rumors

Star of "Desperate Housewives," Marcia Cross, has denied she is gay.

Following an interview on "The View" where the host asked the star about her sexuality, Cross' publicists issued a statement denying rumors that she is a lesbian.

The star later spoke to the press and wondered why the rumor started: "I just assumed this is what comes of being 42 and single. I don't know if they just needed to find a reason why I wasn't married."
