The former Libertines singer spoke to UK tabloid The Sun telling them he did not remember too much about the night and says he was actually waiting for Kate Moss to join him for a romantic night out before things took a bad turn.
"The next thing I can remember is doing cold turkey in a vomit-filled cell. It was supposed to have been a great night," he told the paper.
On his time in jail he added: "I felt like crying but the thought of Kate on the outside kept me going."
His bail conditions include a 10PM to 7AM curfew, he must begin a rehabilitation program for his heroin and crack addition and he must not go outside without his manager and security guard.
He finished by saying: "I'm going to stay clean. I'm determined to do it for Kate and my mum, the two women I love. Everyone has been telling me for months but I wouldn't listen. This is the shock I needed."
The singer is due back in court later this month to answer the charges of robbery and blackmail.

Bollocks ... I'd take him in the dead pool .. 9 mos. till relapse OD and album sales shoot up (pardon)
oh, your so funny, whatever opinion you might have of him, he's still a human being, vices or not. He is one of my generations great songwriters and he doesn't court celebrity. Kate Moss is attracted to him because of his talent and if you were to ever look more deeply at the person not the addiction, you would realise that his is an elequent and intelligent soul, who unfortunately got captured by the high of the poppy seeds. Opinions are opinions, but check any forum out and people such as yourself (whoever it is above me) are ten a penny. Slagging Pete off does not help anyone, though make's you feel funny for your cheap joke, hee hee let's slag the addict off!! Think of something clever to say, then you may have reason to post it, but your dimwitted comments are unconstructive to anyone.
I agree with coco's point of view. Pete has an illness. Living in his world it would have been very hard to stay away from such vices. I am not condoning his actions, but a certain amount of empathy has to be shown to his situation. Pete, carl and the libertines are one of the greatest bands of our generation. People always moan about the way popular music is going, that all the acts are manufactured bollocks and that real music has died. Well the libertines are real, with a real rock and roll spirit. i just hope pete can sort out his problems and carry on making amazing music.
C'mon Pete, the Libs need you back.
I agree, pete is talented enough to encourage thousands to pick up a guitar and make a band, how is that bad?? the poppy seeds make no difference to ones talent. Think what pete may have lost every thing that was dear to him. Addiction does that.... :S how will slagging him off help? x
