Steven Seagal may run for governor in Arizona

Film and reality TV star Steven Seagal is a martial arts expert and has 7 black belts in Aikido, a Japanese marital art that protects - to a degree- the attacker. Seagal is also an animal rights advocate and supporter of a free Tibet.

He also may run for governor of the conservative, gun loving state of Arizona.

Seagal, 61, told various media outlets that he has had discussions with Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio about the prospective bid.

Seagal made the comments while talking about his newly released reality series “Steven Seagal - Lawman: Maricopa County" (The Lost Episodes.)

The issue that drives Seagal? According to news reports, open borders.

The actor has had a series of lawsuits filed against him and a messy personal life. He has seven children and two grandchildren.

Seagal also came to the defense of controversial figure Sheriff Arpaio, as well as discussed the prospect of extending amnesty to undocumented immigrants living in the U.S.
