Ke$ha is dealing with her issues correctly, says weight loss expert

Singer Ke$ha has checked in to Timberline Knolls rehab center near Chicago for issues with her weight.

TMZ reports that this is also the same place Demi Lovato went for her issues. Ke$ha reportedly is blaming producer Dr. Luke -- claiming he called her a fat refrigerator. TMZ sources directly connected to Ke$ha told the website that Dr. Luke slammed the singer over the weight she had gained in her downtime post tour. Ke$ha says Luke -- a huge producer who has worked with Miley Cyrus and Rihanna -- began calling Ke$ha fat and urged her management team to do something about it.

Ke$ha tells TMZ, "I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I've found it hard to practice. I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder ... to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am."

In Ke$ha's recent music video with Pitbull, she looks very thin:

Adam Silberstein, Psy. D. of The Source Health and Wellness Treatment Center, which specializes in helping people who have an unhealthy relationship with smoking or food issues, walks the talk and was once over 300 pounds. He is now a normal weight for his frame and he did it without surgery or dietary aids.

He tells Monsters and Critics: "It is inspiring to see people access courage and move in the direction of self care and change. Those who battle disordered eating are well aware that the decision to go to treatment feels like an insurmountable hurdle. Some of my patients who grapple with the decision of going to treatment claim that even an act of congress would not be sufficient to help them mobilize. The good news is that taking that first step can often launch the beginning of profound change. The sense that an obstacle is virtually impossible to overcome is replaced with hope and motivation."
