Joan Collins' husband is the boss in their relationship.

The outspoken star might be famed for her strong personality, but she admits theatre manager Percy Gibson is in charge at home and she relies on him in both her personal and professional lives.

In an interview with Stylist magazine, she said; 'I couldn't live without my husband. He's much cleverer, more intelligent and he's a take-charge kind of guy. He's funny, caring beyond belief and gallant, all the things a consort should be.

'He produces my [stand-up] show; we don't agree on everything all the time but our differences are earth shattering. He usually gets his way. Actually, it's about 50/50.'

The 79-year-old actress-and-author believes in making the most of every day and tries to squeeze as much as possible into her life in order to stay happy and successful.

Joan explained: 'I live by the motto, you've got to eat life, or life eats you. I try to make every day like a mini-lifetime. I do it by enjoying something and achieving something. And not letting the b******s get you down!'
