1D's Louis Tomlinson wants to meet David Beckham

Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik are desperate to meet David Beckham.

The One Direction hunks are huge fans of the soccer star and singled him out as one of their dream dinner party guests.

Asked for three dream dinner party guests during the Twitter Q&A segment of their live show on stage in Sheffield, England, last night (19.03.13), Louis said: 'I would have Natalie Portman because you need someone fit and maybe David Beckham, because I've always wanted to meet him. Lastly, my grandad Len ... yeah.'

If Zayn gets to organise the dinner party, Louis would still get to meet the sportsman, as he selected Beckham, his bandmate and another group member, Liam Payne, as his dream guests.

He said: 'I'd have to agree with you on David Beckham, that's a good one. I'll have two of you too, I'll have Liam and Louis.'

After he spoke, Zayn, Louis and Liam high fived one another, while snubbed group members Niall Horan and Harry Styles shared a hug.

Perhaps one reason why Louis chose his grandfather was because his family - who live in nearby Doncaster - were in the audience for the gig.

He tweeted afterwards: 'Sheffield was amazing tonight , big love to all my friends and family that came to see me :) xx (sic)'
