Sofia Vergara's son use to 'scream' at her to have another child.

The 'Modern Family' actress' 21-year-old son Manolo Gonzalez, who she has with ex-husband Joe Gonzalez, used to be so overwhelmed by his mother's affection he would tell her to have another baby so she could 'focus' her attention on his sibling.

Making reference to his name, taken from Steven Bauer's character in 1983 film 'Scarface', Sofia joked to the April issue of Vogue magazine: 'My son, when he grew up, he was like, 'Oh yeah, Mom, how amazing you named me after a drug-dealer junkie!' And I was like, 'Shut up, Manolo!'

'You know, sometimes he used to scream at me when he was younger, 'Why can't you have another baby, so you can stop focusing on me?' '

Sofia, 40, also confirmed she is freezing her eggs after revealing last year she was considering fertility treatment in order to have children with her fiancé Nick Loeb.

However, the Columbian beauty has to be careful about her eating habits in order to have the 'perfect' specimen.

She said: 'I have to be careful what I eat because they're freezing my eggs! [I'm currently taking hormone pills] and then after that it is hormone injections.

'They want to get as many good eggs as they can because usually you produce them but they're not good. They have to be perfect ones. My boyfriend is 37, younger than me, never had kids. So...'

Nick popped the question to Sofia last year and the actress is still overwhelmed by the engagement ring he presented to her.

She added: 'I love it, because it's big enough. If it had been bigger, I couldn't have worn it every day. And if it had been smaller, I wouldn't have liked it. It's heavy, but I don't take it off even to work out.'
